Privacy Policy

Veyno is an Australian owned and operated business. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from veyno.co, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We’ve written it in plain English, because you shouldn’t need a law degree to know what happens to your details.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Two kinds of information:

  • Order information — your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and what you ordered. If you pay by card, our payment processor handles your card details. We only ever see the last few digits, which we use to identify the payment; we never store full card numbers and we can’t make a transaction with what we hold.
  • Device information — your browser type, IP address, time zone, the pages you looked at, and how you found us. This is collected automatically through cookies, log files and pixels.
Why we collect it
  • To process your order, ship it, and keep you updated on where it is.
  • To answer your emails and sort out anything that goes wrong.
  • To screen orders for fraud and keep the store secure.
  • To meet our accounting, tax and record-keeping obligations.
  • To improve the site and, where you’ve opted in, to send you offers and product news.
Who we share it with

We share only what’s needed to run the store:

  • Shopify, which powers veyno.co — you can read Shopify’s privacy policy.
  • Payment providers, to take payment securely.
  • Delivery partners, so your parcel reaches your door.
  • Analytics and advertising providers such as Google and Meta, to understand how the site is used and to show our ads. You can opt out of Google Analytics here.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.

Marketing emails and SMS

If you buy from us or join our list, we may send you product news and offers by email or SMS. Every message includes a way to opt out, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Email and SMS lists are separate, so you may need to opt out of each. Opting out of marketing doesn’t stop your order and delivery updates.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. They keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and help us measure how the site performs. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may stop working properly if you do. You can also manage how your information is used for targeted advertising on our Your Privacy Choices page.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to service your order and to meet Australian tax and record-keeping laws. After that we delete or de-identify them.

Keeping it safe

Checkout is encrypted, and access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to do their job. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that’s wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information, where we’re not required to keep it;
  • stop sending you marketing.

Email support@veyno.co and we’ll get onto it. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled a privacy matter, tell us and we’ll try to fix it. If we can’t, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Storage outside Australia

Our store is hosted by Shopify, and some of our providers store data outside Australia, including in Canada, the United States and the European Union. We only use providers that are required to protect your information.

Children

Veyno isn’t intended for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, with the date at the top.
